Sarah Raskey LCPC ATR

 

Sarah is a registered Art Therapist (ATR) and also holds her LCPC (licensed clinical professional counselor) licsensure. She provides couples counseling, counseling for anxiety and depression, and counseling for spirituality issues.

Sarah is an adjunct faculty member at DePaul University. She has taught courses on general counseling skills, relationship counseling, and art therapy.

 

Experience and Specialties

Sarah has worked with the elderly, the homeless, those with disabilities and/or a severe mental illness, individuals residing at shelters for battered women and children, sexual assault and trauma survivors, teens at risk of failure due to gang, and sex work involvement, those suffering from addictions, as well as a variety of musical and visual artists/entertainers.

 

She has worked with individuals, couples, and families using traditional "talk therapy" while also integrating art therapy exercises and techniques when warranted to help facilitate the therapeutic process.

Education and Training

Sarah received her Masters of Arts in Counseling: Art Therapy from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.

 

Sarah has been an active member of the American Art Therapy Association since 2002.

 

 

Sarah is active in using art and art therapy for community building and social activism (www.srgivinggallery.com).
